PSP Learning Curve - What do you want to Learn?

Have you ever seen a tag or something and thought "Wow! I'd love to be able to do that." Here's your chance. Each month we'll focus on a psp related theme. Whether you're a complete newbie to the technique or an advanced artist, you'll find plenty to do in here.

PSP Learning Curve - What do you want to Learn?

Postby Rose on Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:15 am

Hello Everyone!! There are so many different aspects of PSP, and the purpose of the Learning Curve is to focus on one or two aspects each month to hone our skills. I was looking for a topic for January, and couldn't decide on what to pick. So I thought, instead of it being my decision, I will ask you for help!

So, please reply to this topic, and let me know what you would like to learn more about (even if it is something we have already touched on) and I will get to finding the stuff....

Thanks!!

Scrap elements (not tags but the stuff in kits)
Painting
Photo Editing - I mostly use PS for photo editing, but I'd be curious to learn some of what PSP can do.

I'm still looking to learn more about vector shapes, editing vectors, the pen tool, and that kind of thing. I'd really love it if you could find vector tuts that explained the different menu options in more detail. I've looked and looked, and I still haven't found any real beginner kind of tuts.

I'd like to learn how to create multi-layered vector shapes. There's a vector shape that I have for a champagne glass and another of a champagne bottle that is multi-layered, and I'd like to learn how to do that.

Other than that, I think it would be nice to explore the Textures options in the Effects menu. There's many options in that menu, and I mostly only use Blinds. I'd like to learn more.

I thought of something else that I would like to learn how to do. I'd like to learn how to tube images.

I've tried with the eraser but I can't seem to get the settings right and I'm sure there must be some other tips for extracting the images than just using the eraser.

I'd love to learn to make those realistic looking ribbons and bows (seen in many scrapbook kits)
